Fall Colors, Salmon Runs and Bears on the docket for October 2017 Field Trip
South Lake Tahoe, Hope Valley, and Taylor Creek will be the destinations for October 17, 18, & 19.

Photography Club Fall Color Field Trip will target the South Lake Tahoe and Hope Valley areas on October 17, 18 and 19.

The aspens, cottonwoods, willows and mountain maples can provide fantastic displays of gold, yellow and smatterings of red against spectacular mountain and lake backgrounds.

We also will be visiting the creeks to see the Kokanee salmon spawn and hopefully get photos of bears feeding on the salmon as the bears prepare for their winter hibernation.  Additionally there will be plenty of mergansers, gulls and other birds feeding on the salmon.

There will also be an opportunity to capture a beautiful Sunrise Shot over Lake Tahoe’s Emerald Bay.
