Where to buy or sell cameras, lenses, and accessories

Local

Action Camera - Action camera is one of the few remaining camera stores in the area where you can go and actually see and feel equipment you are considering purchasing. Unlike some of the big box stores their employees are knowledgeable about cameras, lenses, and accessories and can provide you with sound advice when selecting an item for purchase. You can hold a camera or lens and feel it's weight and how it fits in your hand. Check them out in person at 1000 Sunrise AveRoseville, CA 95661 Phone number (916) 786-2288 or go to their website  HERE

FILCO - FILCO is an electronics and appliance store. Their main store is at 1415 Fulton Avenue Sacramento, CA 95825 Phone: 916-483-4526. They have a large selection of photography equipment and unlike other non-photography retailers that also sell cameras they actually have a knowledgeable staff. They have a local store in Lincoln but as far as I know they do not sell photography equipment at that location.

Online

Greentoe - Looking to buy a new camera or lens? Give Greentoe a try. It works like Priceline.com. You put in what you are willing to pay and they try and find a dealer who will sell what you want at the price you are willing to pay. All cameras and lenses are sold by manufacturer authorized dealers and come with USA warranties. In other words no fly by night sellers or grey market equipment. One member purchased their Canon 5D Mkiii through them and saved $700 off list price at a time when no authorized dealers were discounting them in their stores or online. Check elsewhere first and then give them a try. If you are interested they also sell appliances, musical instruments, and electronics.
