Amador Flower Farm is located in Plymouth, California. They specialize in daylilies and claim to have over 1200 of the most popular varieties.

Photo Club Field Trip June 24, 2024. 

On June 24th members of the club visited Amador Flower Farm and had lunch at Villa Toscao Winery after capturing the beauty of fields and gardens of daylily.   

 

The Amador Flower Farm, opened to the public in 1996, covers more than 14 acres and hosts 4 acres of demonstration gardens, a waterfall, pond and picnic area, a nursery, a pumpkin patch and corn maze every fall, and rows upon rows of flowers every spring and summer.

 

When the farm began there were 600 varieties of daylilies planted in the growing grounds. 19 years later, there are over 1200 varieties in the garden. You can visit their gardens and open fields of daylilies. This is a resale farm so if you wish to purchase some plants you can. 

 

The farm is located at 22001 Shenandoah School Rd in Plymouth CA. The farm hosts a number of events during the year.  Use there website to check things out.  Amador Flower Farm   Parking is free. 

 

Directions from Sun City, get onto Twelve Bridges then to Sierra College. Take Sierra College to Hazel. Hazel to 50 towards Lake Tahoe.  Exit 30A onto Latrobe Road.  Left onto Old Sacramento Road.  Old Sacrament turns into Shenandoah Road. Turn right onto Shenandoah School Rd at your at the farm.

Villa Toscano Winery/Lunch

We recommend Villa Toscano Winery (open from 10am to 5:00pm) for lunch. Less than 3 miles from the farm. It’s address is 10600 Shenandoah Road, Plymouth, CA 95669

A map of the grounds is included in the Club Handout below. Grounds are flat, or little gentle slope in the field area. No major stairways, a few around the gift shop.
