BIRD PHOTOGRAPHY
Presented by Carol Smith

Carol Smith took up photography in 2010 because she was going to Italy with a friend. Travel photography quickly morphed into other types of photography. After taking photography classes, Carol tried various types of photography and began to go on photography trips with Moose Peterson, a world renowned wildlife photographer who became her mentor. When she went to Costa Rica for the first time in 2015, Carol discovered her passion for photographing birds. This passion has taken her from Costa Rica, where she photographed the second smallest bird in the world, the Snowcap and the to Alaska where she photographed the Bald Eagle—the second largest raptor in North America.
