Les Thomas provided the following announcement for the Great Reno Balloon Race:

This is a photographer’s dream scene – colorful, giant, lighted balloons against a backdrop of predawn darkness.  Another one that is nearly in our backyard.  Reno is just a 2-hour drive.

This is an early morning event.  We will need to arrive at the park well before dawn.  The first event on Friday, the “Super Glow Show” will be at 5:15 a.m. 

​

The “Mass Ascension Launch is at 6:45 a.m. 

​

There is a “Tissue Paper Balloon Launch” at 9:30 a.m.

After that, there are many vendor tents available for eating & shopping.

Sometimes you have to suffer a bit to get one of your “bucket list” adventures! If you are staying another night, check out the shows/entertainment at the casinos. You may also want to stay over for the Saturday morning Balloon events.
