The January 2017 Photo Enhancement SIG meeting featured Jim Moon making an excellent presentation on Photolemur.  His presentation was well received by members in attendance.
At the January Photo Enhancement SIG meeting Jim Moon made a presentation on Photolemur. For those of you who were not present Photolemur is a photo editing tool for people who don't like to edit photos. In other words it's automatic. Load your photo or photos (Photolemur can handle several at a time) and click a button and Photolemur automatically enhances them for you. I must admit that when I first heard about Photolemur I was skeptical but after Jim's excellent presentation I became a believer. Photolemur is not perfect but it does a pretty good job. Once Photolemur is done there are some adjustment tools you can use to further enhance the photo if you choose. Photolemur is currently only available for Mac computers; however, a Windows version is supposed to be released in the late spring. Right now you can get the Mac version or pre-order the Windows version for $29. The eventual retail price will be $49. I placed my pre-order

for the WIndows version.

Some might ask why would I order Photolemur when I already own several photo editing software programs. Well the reason is simple. Because it's automatic and does a good job. I take a lot of family photos on vacation, at birthday parties, etc.. I upload them to a location on the web where others can view and download them. Usually I have to make minor adjustments to each one before uploading them. Some of the best I spend a little more time on to make them a really nice photo. This is time consuming. With Photolemur I should be able to process all of them in a batch taking very little time. I will probably still edit some of the best individually before uploading them.

I want to thank Jim for making a great presentation at the January Photo Enhancement SIG meeting. I was impressed enough to buy the software and judging from the questions asked by others in attendance they were also impressed by Jim's presentation.

Thanks Jim.
