B&H is selling the Wacom Intuos Pro Professional Pen & Touch Tablet Special Edition (Silver & Black, Medium) for $299. The non-special edition medium size version sells for $349 at B&H. As far as I can tell the only difference is the special edition version is silver and black while the regular version is all black.

If you do a lot of photo editing or anything that involves a lot of precise mouse work then you should consider getting a Wacom tablet. I have one and use it all the time. Bob Baikauskas recently bought one and loves it.

NIK photo enhancement tools have been around for a long time. Our own Ron Parker thinks Silver Efex Pro which is part of the suite is the best tool available for converting images to black & white. A few years ago Google bought them. Unfortunately Google had little interest in enhancing the tools and while they reduced the price of the suite many questioned if it was a worthwhile purchase given Googles lack of interest in the product. Now Google is giving it away which probably means there will be no more updates. Having said that it is still currently a great tool. If you don't have any other photo enhancement tools or even if you the NIK suite is a great set of tools and now you can't beat the price. The website also has some tutorials.

If by chance you purchased it in 2016 you will be getting a refund.

ON1, the makers of the ON1 Photo 10 suite of photo enhancing tools, is currently offering Effects 10 for free. It comes with a handful of presets and features and is basically a stripped down version of the Effects tool in Photo 10. I'm a big fan of Photo 10 and recommend you give this free offering a try.

UPDATE - The developer of Lucis Pro is calling it quits. From now until August 31st you can purchase Lucis Pro 6 for $6. There are versions for both PC and MAC.

Truman, our clubs illustrious vice president, brought this deal to my attention. He had high praise for this software and said he paid over $150 for it. Currently only available for Windows PCs a Mac version is in the works and apparently they have reduced the price of the PC version to spur sales so they can complete the Mac version. The website has some tutorials and galleries.

They also have another smaller Lenovo and and even smaller Dell. Just fold the keyboard over and use them like a tablet or not and use them like a laptop. These are all Windows machines.
